FreedomVoice Launches “Educational” Web Site

FreedomVoice is the latest virtual office provider to jump on the “down economy” marketing bandwagon. The company just launched a brand spanking new Web site – FreedomVoice.com – to teach small business owners how to spruce up their image, manage their businesses more efficiently and slash communications cost.

“FreedomVoice Virtual Office is a cutting edge product,” says Eric Thomas, CEO of FreedomVoice. “It allows business owners to immediately transform their image from a small to big business for a minimal cost. The product lets you work much more efficiently, analyze and understand your business, and virtualize your company. It’s the perfect tool to help startups work collaboratively.”

The new FreedomVoice.com aims to educate business owners who are interested in learning more about toll free numbers and virtual office services. Although many people have caught on to the benefits of having an 800 number, the company figures fewer have realized the full range of features and services that can enhance the toll free number, such as a customizable auto attendant, call forwarding, conference calling, business voicemail and Internet faxing.

At the core of this new education-oriented site is a “How it Works” page that offers a slide show to walk visitors through a narrated multimedia presentation that describes the benefits of a better image, staying connected, automation, one number efficiency and pricing. The cartoon is a little hokey, sure, but it gets the point across.

The site also does a better job explaining the features and benefits of the FreedomVoice service, including details on 800 numbers, vanity numbers, transferring numbers and the future of toll free numbers. FreedomVoice says as the site matures it will become an inclusive entrepreneurial resource. Not sure what they mean by that, nor am I sure this Web site lives up to its hype.

I think the site has a long way to go. Some resource articles would be a nice touch, something truly educational with no marketing spin attached. Right now, there’s still way too much sales copy to pass as an education-oriented site in my book. I respect FreedomVoice as a company, but this new Web site isn’t much to write home about. Compare FreedomVoice to Davinci Virtual and let me know who you think does a better job explaining the benefits.

I didn’t see FreedomVoice’s old Web site, so can’t tell whether it’s much of an improvement. I agree that it certainly doesn’t seem much like an educational resource. It does explain what some of the features and benefits are, but that’s plain old fashioned marketing. I think Davinci Virtual has FreedomVoice beat in the virtual office market. FreedomVoice has great VoIP services, though.

For a company that did well enough to take its employees to Hawaii, I guess I expected better when I heard they launched a new website. FreedomVoice has good services, but its online presence leaves something to be desired. Davinci Virtual doesn’t rule the roost on web communications either. At the end of the day, it’s about getting good virtual office services. Both companies offer benefits.

Davinci Virtual’s website is way better if yo ask me. The only thing I don’t like about Davinci Virtual’s site is they don’t break up the information in a way that’s easy on the eye to read. But overall, as far as virtual office providers go, I think Davinci Virtual makes it about as easy as anyone to get the info you need and understand the benefits. FreedomVoice does a nice job too.

Davinci Virtual. Hands down. But if you just need an 800 number service, FreedomVoice makes a solid case for that on their new web site. I think FreedomVoice has a better service if that’s all you need. But if you want a full blown virtual office, Davinci Virtual is hands down my bet.

I like FreedomVoice’s new web site. I think it’s a lot cleaner than the old one, easier to navigate, more information to chew on. I wouldn’t quite classify it as an ‘educational resource’ but it is an improvement. Davinci Virtual has some things it could improve about its site as well. I am not sure why companies in the virtual office space, generally speaking, don’t have better websites.
