This really is a great campaign. And Regus will still earn revenue on services. Whoever wins this free serviced office space will probably spend plenty of money through the course of the year on ancillary services. So Regus still gets something out of the deal. This could turn into a great story is you get a really innovative company in there that hits it big and later gives some thanks to Regus for helping them get off the ground.

Regus is great at marketing. This sweepstakes for a free office space in Manhattan proves it. They picked one of the highest profile locations in the world — a place where they have 18 serviced office facilities — to launch this contest. I haven’t seen anyone do anything quite like this in the executive suites field.

Wow. That’s a generous offer. Well worth the price of the awareness the Regus brand will receive, I’m sure. I mean, giving away a free office space in Manhattan for a whole year is enough to drive tons of traffic to the Regus New York Web site. They look like a good corporate citizen and the company that gets the free serviced office space will probably be a customer for life. Win-win.

Makes me wish I was in Manhattan. Any chance you think they might run a similar contest for free office space in Chicago? What a deal. I am not sure how the winners are selected. Is it the best story or just a random drawing. I bet they’ll get tens of thousands of participants. Great publicity stunt.
