The Boardroom Executive Suites Taps Social Media Marketing
Published March 2nd, 2010 by Jennifer LeClaire
Who says LinkedIn doesn’t lead to publicity? I would probably never have known about The Boardroom Executive Suites latest executive office suites project if Nathan Jansch, the president of the serviced office company, hadn’t reached out through LinkedIn to give me a heads up on the new facility.
So here’s the deal: The Boardroom Executive Suites signed an agreement to open a new executive suite business center at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and I-25. This makes serviced office facility number two for Boardroom. (The company also has a location at 3773 Cherry Creek Drive in Denver.)
The new center will be located on the 7th floor of the Denver CenterPoint I office building at 3900 E. Mexico Avenue. With 10,300 square feet of office space, the executive suites project will feature 25 individual offices, four 500-square-foot office suites, two conference rooms, advanced VoIP telecommunications, on-demand administrative services, and six virtual office plans. The company also offers meeting rooms and virtual offices.
A member of the Alliance Business Centers Network, The Boardroom Executive Suites chose a well-known location for its second venture. Denver CenterPoint I is a 14-story building located minutes from downtown Denver and less than five miles from the Denver Tech Center. The building is also surrounded dining, shopping and entertainment opportunities, which should help The Boardroom Executive Suites attract tenants.
But The Boardroom Executive Suites is doing something else right – it’s using social media to its advantage. As I mentioned earlier, Nathan found me through LinkedIn and reached out, which is what got him the virtual ink you are reading right now. But Nathan also blogs fairly regularly on a blog entitled, “Denver Office News” which surely helps drive traffic in his local market. His blog feeds into his LinkedIn page (nice touch) and Nathan is also on Twitter.
Other serviced office operators could take a clue from The Boardroom Executive Suites and bolster their social media efforts in their local markets – and reach out to me through LinkedIn with serviced office news in their city (hint, hint).

Great story. I like the twist that shows how they got their story placed. I also love the name The Boardroom Executive Suites. I think that’s a great name for a serviced office project. Looks like this young company is doing a lot of things right on the marketing and social media front.

There’s another really well known company in the Denver serviced office market whose name I can’t recall at the moment… looks like Denver is seeing a growing demand for executive suites and The Boardroom is tapping into that.
I see that Boardroom is also a member of ABCN. I wonder just how much that helped the company’s growth to where they could open up a second serviced office space so quickly after launching the first one — as a start-up.

Just to give a little more background information on The Boardroom Executive Suites… we’ve actually been in the industry for 20 years now, so we’re not quite a “start-up.” We’ve been long time members of both ABCN and OBCAI. We had been operating under the name The Boardroom at Cherry Creek until we recently changed our name to not be as site-specific.
We’re certainly trying to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to social media. In my opinion, it definitely seems like a worthy investment of our time and money.
And to comment on Elizabeth’s query about ABCN and how much they’ve assisted us… I’d say that their assistance has been invaluable. Frank Cottle, CEO of ABCN, has provided me a great number of ideas and useful hints. Karen Condi with Office Suite Strategies (an ABCN partner) has guided me through the agreements that we’ve signed on our new space. And Epik Networks (another ABCN partner) is going to be our VoIP solutions provider at the new facility. Without these resources, I’m not sure that I’d be able to venture out into another suite.

@Nathan – Thanks so much for stopping by and clarifying your long-standing presence in the industry. Since you are here, let me ask you… How competitive is the Denver market for serviced office space?
