Servcorp Opens Second Chicago Location
Published May 26th, 2010 by Jennifer LeClaire
When Servcorp entered the U.S. market in March, many wondered how aggressive the serviced office behemoth would be in its American expansion strategy.
Those who wondered got a bit of a clue this week as Servcorp opened its second Chicago location just two months later. Within three months, the executive suites company opened its doors to two facilities in the Windy City.
“We’re making great strides in our fast-paced U.S. expansion The new 300 North LaSalle floor will provide the best serviced and virtual offices to a wide range of clients,” says Jennifer Goodwyn, general manager for Servcorp’s United States operations.
A Strategic Chicago Location
Servcorp’s second serviced office facility is located in the newly built 300 North LaSalle building. The building is one of the tallest in Chicago, a true architectural icon. From this location, Servcorp offers a full floor of serviced office space. The company is also offering virtual offices.
Servcorp’s new location can be found between the Chicago River North neighborhood and the Chicago Loop precinct. It is a strategic location for business and offers impressive views of the Chicago River and skyline. The building offers a blend of business and lifestyle amenities, including a nearby fitness center, underground parking, in-house banking services, retail stores, restaurants and hotels. There’s also a walkway connection to Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) trains that takes you Chicago airports and every corner of the city.
Now the question is, when will Servcorp open its third location? And, what’s more, will the company stick to its Chicago guns or expand into other U.S. cities this summer? Mum is the word at the company, at least for now.
Do you think Regus is looking over its shoulder yet? With dozens of executive office suites facilities in and around Chicago, I doubt it. But Servcorp is clearly making its move and it will be interesting to see how it plays out in the next five years.

Congrats to Servcorp. It makes sense for them to open multiple office spaces in Chicago because their management there can keep it all in line. I would imagine they will open another serviced office facility there before moving to the next city. Has anyone seen a plan or roadmap as to which cities they plan to open office space in?

It would take a decade for Servcorp to even come close to putting a dent in Regus’ dominion here in the U.S. But that doesn’t mean that Servcorp can’t do good business here. There is plenty of opportunity for serviced office providers stateside. They key is locaiton, location, location, as well as customer service and technological innovation.
