Regus Set to Open New Business Center in the Dayton Suburb

In a move to leverage opportunities with businesses searching for more flexible office options, The Regus Group is getting ready to add yet another executive office suites property to its 1,000 locations in 75 countries around the world.

Regus just announced a new lease agreement to open a business center at The Greene, a mixed-use town center at 70 Birch Alley in Beavercreek, Ohio. Beavercreek is a suburb of Dayton. Regus signed an 11-year lease with Green Town Center.

“As the fastest growing suburb of Dayton, Beavercreek is an ideal location for our first business center in the Dayton metropolitan area,” says Michael Berretta, vice president of Business Development for Regus. “We’ve experienced a great deal of demand from businesses seeking more cost-effective alternatives to traditional space. We are confident that local companies will find that our business-ready offices and meeting space will provide them with a professional environment that is affordable and conveniently located closer to where they live.”

A Focus on Serviced Office Value
As Berretta sees it, Regus’ business model is well suited to help companies succeed during a recession. As the economy continues along its volatile path, he notes, companies of all sizes are adopting flexible workplace strategies to help them cut up to 60 percent off their facilities costs and the risks associated with traditional leases.

“Adopting these flexible workplace strategies can also provide them with the needed tools to explore new market opportunities and expand and contract their workplace needs as required,” Berreta says, noting that Regus offers its clients a full range of business-ready workplace products.

Specifically, Regus offers fully-furnished, fully-staffed private offices, meeting rooms and business support services. For those clients who may not need a full-time office, Regus also offers virtual offices that allow small businesses and entrepreneurs to instantly establish a presence in new markets with a prestigious, high-profile business address and local telephone answering and mail handling services.

Getting to Know The Green
At The Greene, Regus said its clients can tap into a wide range of shopping, dining and entertainment options within walking distance. With a combination of open-air gathering places, offices, and luxury apartments, Regus is convinced the town square setting provides a great place to live, work and play.

“There has been tremendous demand for flexible offices at The Greene,” confirms Jimmy Thompson, director of Office Leasing at Steiner + Associates, the developer of The Greene. “Regus is the perfect option for large corporations and small businesses alike looking for space here.”

Regus businessworld members might be interested to know that Regus also has a business center in nearby Columbus and four centers in the Cincinnati area. That means mobile professionals have convenient access to meeting rooms and videoconferencing facilities while on the road.

Beavercreek? I wouldn’t have guessed Regus would set up a serviced office facility there. Must be something more to this Dayton suburb than meets the eye. Regus is really expanding fast. It seems like they open office after office after office. It will be interesting to see how this plays out when the economy recovers.

One thing Regus is doing right is sending a consistent message. It’s almost redundant at some level, but that’s part of branding a message. Regus serviced offices are almost synonymous with flexibility at this point. The company itself seems flexible, if not nimble, able to expand rapidly in the U.S. executive office suites industry.

I am not sure I’ve ever seen a serviced office facility in a mixed-use environment like The Greene. This seems to have condos, restaurants and all sorts of retail, etc. blended in. From that perspective, I can see why Regus would find the location attractive. There is a lot of built in traffic and so there would be awareness for the executive office suites concept there.
