Regus Offers Free Serviced Office Space in Blizzard Cities

I live in South Florida, a place where the snowbirds visit this time of year. And those that did should be glad, what with a blizzard sweeping across the North East, Mid-Atlantic and Midwest United States. But before you hate on me for my location, consider the upside: Regus is offering blizzard-beaten entrepreneurs free office space.

Sure, school kids might get a thrill out of the snow days. But your company can’t afford to shut down operations because white flakes are falling from the sky and piling up on the ground so high that you can’t safely drive across town to work. And, yes, you and your employees can work from a home office. But who can concentrate with the kids running around?

Regus has more than 140 locations in areas affected by the blizzard. Each one of them offers a business lounge with high speed Internet access, administrative services and, you guess it, hot coffee (though I’m not sure if it’s Starbucks). What’s possibly even better than a White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks is free office space in blizzard-affected regions. All you have to do is present your business card and you get a full day of uninterrupted productivity. It’s quite the bargain if you ask me — but it’s this week only. So act fast.

Regus only stands to gain by this move. Folks who may otherwise have never stepped foot into a serviced office space can see first hand what a business-ready workplace is like. They can experience the fully furnished, fully equipped private offices, as well as meeting rooms with on-site business and administrative support services themselves. They can experiment with how Regus compares to hotel lobbies, copy shops and coffee houses as an alternative work environment while traveling.

Who knows? Maybe Regus will get some loyal customers out of its generous offer. For the most up-to-date listings of centers open in your area, call 1-800-OFFICES. Tell them aBetterOffice.com sent you.

Pretty clever. I wonder how many of Regus’ serviced office centers are actually open in those cities affected by the blizzard. I know there have been power outages in some of those areas and folks are pretty much stuck inside their homes because there’s too much snow to even drive. Still, this offer of free office space is friendly and it helps Regus leverage the current news to get attention. Clever.

When I see Regus do things like this, it always makes me wonder why other companies in the executive suites industry don’t get the drift. Regus, Davinci Virtual, Avanta and a few others seem to be ahead of the curve when it comes to smart promotions and new innovations. I guess that’s why these are among the industry leaders in the serviced office space.

@Bill…Curious myself how the centers were even open. I haven’t been to work since 1pm last Friday. Our Operations Manager and Admin have gone in for a few abbreviated days but that’s it. I work in Bethesda and the Federal Government has been closed that entire time as well.

Pretty sweet deal for Regus if no one can reach their centers to use them! All the free publicity for a promotion that occurs when most people don’t have power and/or can’t get out of their driveway.
