Regus Launches Free Office Space Sweepstakes in Chicago
Published February 1st, 2010 by Jennifer LeClaire
Looks like Regus heard our cries… The serviced office behemoth just launched a sweepstakes in Chicago. If you’ll recall, last week we posed some ponderings about whether or not Regus would expand its contests beyond Manhattan and Phoenix. Hey, Windy City office users, you can thank us later…
Here’s the deal: Regus is offering Chicago companies the chance to go rent-free for an entire year with its “Win and Office Sweepstakes.” (I’m not sure if that’s a typo in the marketing materials or not. In the New York contest they call it Win an Office… Regus, are you listening?) In any case, Windy City entrepreneurs can enter for a chance to win a free year of serviced office space at any one of Regus’ 28 Chicagoland locations.
“Regus prides itself on understanding its clients’ needs,” says Jeff Doughman, central region vice president for Regus. “Our Chicago-area business centers are tailored to fit every type of business and with this contest we are continuing our ongoing support of Windy City businesses.”
That’s quite an attractive offer. Tapping into free office space frees up revenue to try out some of Regus’ serviced office add-ons, like administrative support services and conference rooms. This is a win-win for Regus, considering they could win a customer for life by helping them settle in to a free year of services. They might also drive revenue from the ancillary services. And they most definitely get word-of-mouth marketing, which is powerful in this industry.
Want to enter? You’ve got to go through the same drill as Manhattan office space seekers. You don’t have to purchase anything to enter. Just fill out an entry form at RegusChicago.com or drop by any participating Regus location. On the form, tell Regus why your company would benefit from one of its executive suites. I can think of a million reasons… sort of makes me wish they were running a contest in Fort Lauderdale…(Are you listening, Regus?) You can enter between now and March 31, 2010, and the winner will be announced on or before April 15.
“Office spaces in prestigious areas like Chicago’s Loop can be can be expensive and risky for businesses to take on,” Doughman said. “That’s where Regus comes in – offering flexible solutions with flexible terms enabling businesses to stay nimble in times of economic uncertainty without compromising professional services and amenities.”

I think it was a typo. Maybe Regus is listening to you, Jennifer. I am sure the company is reading your coverage, but I bet they had this free office space sweepstakes planned for a long while. Now, if they launch on in Fort Lauderdale… LOL. Regus is a pretty smart company. They surely have reasons why they launched free office space contests in certain cities.

Thanks for covering the sweeps Jennifer (yes, we’re always listening!). We’re excited to be offering business owners and entrepreneurs a chance to win a year of fully furnished office space to help them grow their business. Our apologies regarding the typo in the press release, we hope that won’t deter anyone from entering the contest. Enter here: http://www.reguschicago.com. Good luck to all who enter, and we’ll keep Ft. Lauderdale in mind for future promotions (right now you can enter in New York (www.regusnewyork.com), Phoenix (www.regusphoenix.com), Atlanta (www.regusatlanta.com) and the Bay Area (www.regusbayarea.com)).

Wow. Very classy for Dennis Watson to come on board and set the record straight. That’s the sign of a classy operation. Looks like Regus does have more contests than I’ve been hearing about. I must have missed the Bay Area one… I vote for a contest in Texas… Dallas to be specific. I could use some free office space in Dallas, LOL.
