MIAMI-If Miami is the gateway to Latin America, and it is, then Miami businessmen doing traveling to Uruguay will be glad to know that they now have access to a premiere executive office suites facility brand in the foreign nation.
Citing a growing demand for flexible office space in Latin America, Regus just opened its first business center in Uruguay’s capital city of Montevideo. With the Uruguay location, Miami businessmen have yet another Regus option in Latin America. Regus now has executive office suites in 14 Latin American nations—85 locations in 27 cities.
“Growth prospects in Uruguay remain good, and there are plentiful opportunities and attractions for businesses in traditional sectors like agriculture and agri-industry, as well as up-and-coming sectors like finance, commerce, software, communications and logistics,” says Regus CEO Mark Dixon.
Uruguay has achieved an excellent economic performance in 2010 and 2011, avoiding the recession in 2009. Strong domestic demand and rising agricultural prices have seen GDP growth top 6 percent in 2010 and the first quarter of 2011.
“This excellent outlook has created a demand for Regus products and services, and we’ve responded to that,” Dixon said. “The emergence of new working patterns in this region is also pushing up that demand.”
Regus research shows that 78 percent companies in South America now offer their staff flexible working—and they are seeing marked benefits, including improved staff productivity and work-life balance and lower overheads. What’s more, 65 percent of firms in South America believe that flexible working costs less than fixed working.
This migration to flexible working has increased demand for flexible workspace. Beyond Uruguay, Regus also recently opened serviced office space in Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Peru, helping in the process, countless local and international companies expand their footprint in the vibrant economies of Latin America. Put another way, if your Miami company wants to expand to Latin America, Regus can help.
“The extension of the Regus network to Uruguay will bring a host of benefits to local and international companies here,” Dixon says. “Whether they want to harness the potential of flexible working, expand their footprint, test the market, reduce overheads, or do all of those things, the opening of our new business center will facilitate that.”
The Regus executive office suites facility in Montevideo is located on the 12th floor of World Trade Center III, in the thriving Buceo area. The business center offers stunning views and facilities include private offices, meeting rooms, business lounge, videoconferencing and high-speed secure Internet.
