Officescape Breaks 1,000 Office on Demand Locations Threshold
Published August 10th, 2009 by Jennifer LeClaire
Officescape, an office services provider that leverages advanced technology, has reached an impressive milestone. The company just announced that its Office on Demand services are available at more than 1,000 locations around the world.
What is “Office on Demand,” you ask? A service that offers Officescape members an opportunity to occupy fully-furnished office space and meeting rooms in any of its prestigious office centers by the hour, by the day or by the month. Each physical office location is professionally staffed and fully equipped, with computer access and a broadband connection.
Specifically, Office on Demand offers entrepreneurs, mobile professionals and small business owners the flexibility and security they need to conduct business anywhere, anytime through a combination of conferencing solutions, computer technology, professional services and office space.
The High-Tech Provider
Officescape is fast becoming known as one of the serviced office industry’s most high-tech providers via its Office on Demand service packages. Officescape’s on-demand conference service, for example, offers audio conference and Web conference services, as well as, videoconference services at most of its worldwide locations.
But it’s not all about high-tech. It’s also about high-touch. Officescape also offers professional assistant services such as data entry, accounting and secretarial services. The key, again, is the on-demand nature of the technology and professional services. You use what you want when you need it.
Officescape makes it easy to reserve its services on demand with a user-friendly Web portal. Depending on what package they choose, members may also have the ability to use Officescape’s Unified Communications services. This platform offers follow-me/find-me functions, as well as voicemail to e-mail capabilities. The Unified Communications services put Officescape on the cutting edge of the serviced office industry from a technology perspective.
Where Do You Sign?
Interested in hooking up with Officescape’s on-demand services? An Officescape membership is included with each Office on Demand package. This gives members the ability to use these office facilities as remote office centers all over the world and allows as well as tap into Officescape’s virtual office technology offerings.
By allowing members to pay for only what they use, Officescape says it’s Office On Demand services cut costs dramatically while still providing the essential services businesspeople expect from a traditional office.
With its growing platform and innovative technologies, Officescape is one of the leading contenders to Davinci Virtual, who also operates a network of virtual offices and provides advanced technology features. I’d love to hear from folks who have used both brands so we can get an apples-to-apples comparison of these two competitors.

I didn’t realize Officescape had such a large network. That is pretty impressive. The Unified Communications play is potentially huge. I don’t know of any other serviced office provider that even makes that option available. This is definitely an offering for larger companies rather than start-ups at that level.

I wonder who they use for their Unified Communications and how robust it really is. I mean, it could be something as simple as an IM and a high-tech PBX system or as sophisticated as a Cisco solution. I’m fascinated by the idea of UC becoming more available in serviced offices. This isn’t even a mainstream service in corporate America yet, so this widespread adoption would put the executive office suites industry on the cutting edge.

I think on-demand is becoming a major buzzword in the serviced office industry. It only makes sense for executive office suites companies to position themselves this way. You can get cable TV programming on demand, digital music on demand, etc. Why not office space on demand? That appears to be where we are heading.

I like the combination of high-tech and high-touch that Officescape offers. I really think that’s a key to success with clients. I mean, entrepreneurs really want both. They want access to cutting-edge technologies in their offices, but they also want the administrative support they need. In the case of Officescape, you get both. This is very competitive as far as executive office suites go.

Officescape has a pretty memorable name. I have looked into the naming of some of these serviced office centers. The smaller ones tend to take on the names of their owners. The larger executive office suite companies, or the ones that are looking to grow in this phase of the industry, seem to have catchy names. Interesting.
