OfficeLinks Opens Next-Generation On-demand Offices in Sears Tower

OfficeLinks is on the move. The provider of next-generation, on-demand office space, videoconference studios and meeting rooms just opened the doors of its first business center in the Windy City.

Located on the 84th floor of the iconic Sears Tower, OfficeLinks’ latest serviced office facility offers the Chicago business community next-generation, on-demand options with flexible agreement terms designed to help companies reduce both cost and risk.

Of course, there’s no lack of serviced office space in Chicago. aBetterOffice’s serviced office space directory lists five pages of providers. But OfficeLinks is looking to compete with a strategic location and strategic technology. And, like other leading serviced office executives, OfficeLinks is trumpeting the “no up-front capital expenditure” and “flexible terms” message.

“We’re operating in a turbulent marketplace that requires companies to increase business agility, reduce cost and mitigate risk,” says Harsh Mehta, COO of OfficeLinks. “Our business-ready office space enables our clients to open an office in a premier location like Sears (Willis) Tower while reducing facilities cost by up to 60 percent and gaining access to a technology backbone typically reserved for Fortune 500 companies.”

Introducing the Sears Tower Location
OfficeLinks’ Sears Tower business center features – are you ready? this is a mouthful – 100 offices, 241 workstations, a staffed reception area, secretarial and administrative services, multiple conference rooms, a high-definition video-conferencing studio, a pantry and break-out areas spread across a 30,000 square foot floor.

OfficeLinks is one serviced office company that understands the importance of technology. That’s why the new location features a technology infrastructure with enterprise-grade wireless connectivity, gigabit-speed network access and an in-house IT co-location facility including 12 rentable cabinets, and over 360 AMPS of power. If you want a high-tech serviced office experience in Chicago, OfficeLinks should be at the top of your visit list.

OfficeLinks is also hitting the eco-friendly angle with its Chicago office location. The development features an HVAC infrastructure that can be scaled to upwards of 15 tonnes and the offices adhere to LEED standards as prescribed by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Kudos from Brainlink
“I admire OfficeLinks for its commitment to providing a powerful workplace environment that support their clients in achieving a competitive advantage,” says Raj Goel, CEO Brainlink International, a multi-service technology firm specializing in providing innovative solutions to the Office Business Centers, healthcare, pharmaceutical, financial, retail and new media industries.

Brainlink worked with OfficeLinks at the new Sears Tower location. Specifically, Brainlink built a scalable server infrastructure utilizing VMWare Virtualization and Zero-downtime IT management practices.

“It is refreshing to come across a company that truly understands the value of technology in optimizing operations and reducing costs in the long term,” Goel says. “OfficeLinks not only runs state-of-the-art business centers in New York and Chicago, they also manage a true state-of-the-art business operation.”

This is a really impressive and really strategic location. What a win for OfficeLinks. I hadn’t heard much about this company but it definitely is on the cutting edge of office technology. I imagine people looking for office space in the Chicago area will welcome this addition. It also bodes well for the local serviced office industry because such a high profile location raises visibility.

OfficeLinks is doing a good job positioning itself as a leader in technology in the serviced office industry. Working with the likes of Brainlink, it’s clear that OfficeLinks takes the technology aspects of its office properties very seriously. This is a major competitive differentiator, also very expensive. That’s why most serviced operators can’t match it yet.

OfficeLinks is hitting on all cylinders at its Sears Tower location. What more could a serviced office tenant ask for? You’ve got the prime location, the environmentally friendly mantra, the technology infrastructure. The only question in my mind would be affordability. I wonder how much it costs to set up a serviced office shop there…

This looks like a high-powered serviced office. Not sure that they are doing that they need so much technology. This company they used works with VMware, for example. That’s major stuff. I also saw photos of the interior. It’s beautiful. I bet these executive office suites are a fortune.

100 offices…. looks like OfficeLinks is taking up major space in the Sears Tower. This is a major move that should bring the company a lot of attention. It really is impressive. OfficeLinks does things top notch at all its facilities. I would call this a luxurious serviced office provider all the way.
