Office Evolution Launches OE Scholarship Program

Want a serviced office “scholarship”? Check out Office Evolution’s latest marketing program. The company is offering what it calls the OE Scholarship to a lucky business owner searching for office space in Colorado.

The OE Scholarship is offering a free one-year agreement to a “deserving company that encompasses an entrepreneurial spirit.” That means a free year of virtual office space. Specifically, the winner can tap into the OE On Demand Receptionist Virtual Office Plan, which includes unlimited drop-in day office use, receptionist services, mailing address, phone number, live telephone answering services and 24/7 access to all 10 Office Evolution business centers in Colorado.

Want to try your chances or nominate a company? Just send an e-mail to OEscholarship(at)officeevolution(dot)com with three important pieces of information:

1. A description of the business
2. An explanation of the entrepreneurial background of the business
3. A list of the funds raised for the business

Office Evolution hosts business centers in Broomfield/Interlocken, Denver, Boulder-Pearl, Boulder-Walnut, Longmont, Highlands Ranch/Lone Tree, Lakewood/Golden, Centennial/Aurora, Louisville, and Littleton. And the winner can hop from business center to business center at will.

I think contests like these are brilliant. It engages the local community, emphasizes the good will of the brand, drives attention to the industry and, of course, helps a small business with office space and virtual office technologies that can help it survive and thrive in down economy. There’s absolutely no downside in this for anyone, except the difficulty of choosing a winner.

What a great contest! I am not completely clear on the parameters, though. Those are pretty sketchy guidelines. It leaves a lot open to interpretation for the one trying to submit a nomination. With these contests, I think good writing and storytelling has a lot to do with it. I bet the winner’s submission will be really interesting. All in all, a contest for free office space and virtual office space is a win for everybody.

This seems to give the winner a lot of leeway without Office Evolution having to commit to a full-time free office space. At first, I thought it was just a free virtual office. But then I saw the drop-in office space added in there. That’s a nice touch. I mean, a free virtual office would be nice, but if I had to pay every time I needed a place to meet that would seem to benefit the serviced office provider more than the entrepreneur. This seems to be a great deal for all!
