Office Evolution Expands Downtown Denver Business Center

I’ve been reporting a lot about new executive office suite projects that are springing up from coast to coast, as well as companies that are venturing into the virtual office side of the industry, for a couple of months.

Today, I want to point out another strategy: expanding the same executive office property. If business is booming and there’s additional space available – or if the office space is a little outdated – this is a good time to make some upgrades in what’s becoming an increasingly competitive market.

That’s just what Office Evolution has done. Office Evolution is Colorado’s largest locally owned executive office suite and virtual office company. Apparently business is good – the company has expanded and renovated its downtown Denver office rental property and is holding its grand opening today.

I couldn’t fly out to Denver to join in the festivities, so we’ll celebrate with Office Evolution long distance with a quick run down of what the executive office provider has to offer businesses there.

Your Competitive Advantage
The remodeled site is 1624 Market Street. The expansion means there are 10 new offices nestled in an historic building in Downtown Denver. That’s a prime address that comes with much lower office rent than some of the mega-corporations are paying for the skyscrapers in the same neighborhood.

The renovations to this Office Evolution site means there’s an additional branch office and workplace facility. The developer added three on-site conference rooms to offer more space for its customers, whether members or non-members, to meet with important clients and prospects in a high-profile downtown location – even if they don’t have an office there.

“Office Evolution gives my business a competitive advantage in that all client consultations are conducted in a high-quality, professional environment,” says Don Strankowski, president of Ascend Career & Life Strategies, a career coaching and professional development firm serving the Boulder and Denver areas. “Services such as phone answering, mail service, and multiple conference rooms in addition to various locations across the Front Range provide a small business owner with the necessary resources to conduct business in a professional and cost-effective manner.”

Critical First Impressions
Strankowski hinted at an important benefit of serviced office space – the ability to make a good first impression. Office Evolution’s facility is on par with the quality of office space that typically only much larger companies can afford. The monthly office rents weren’t listed on the Web site, but Strankowski noted it was a cost-effective solution as most serviced office facilities are. Strankowski also mentioned some of the services, but here’s a longer list: private offices and executive suites, customized live telephone answering with “no-call-missed technology,” and virtual offices including conference rooms, reception, mail and copy services.

What’s more, clients can use Office Evolution’s 14 business centers across Colorado at any time for no additional fee, making even the smallest business seem much larger. But it’s not just small businesses that are tapping into the benefits of serviced offices at Office Evolution. The serviced office firm reports larger companies are also showing interest in its services in this tough economy, with local receptionists answering an increasing number of phone calls for larger clients as they find a way to reduce costs without reducing customer service.

Who is Office Evolution?

Office Evolution has been in business for almost six years and has quickly grown to become Colorado’s largest locally owned Executive Suite, Virtual Office and Live Telephone answering company.  Office Evolution has 14 locations, 1,000 clients and 350 individual offices. Its local receptionists answer over 500,000 phone calls per year.

“Our services are designed to give the small business professional the services and support he or she needs to compete in today’s marketplace,” says Office Evolution President and Founder Mark Hemmeter. “We are committed to the success of our clients.”

From the beginning, Office Evolution approached the small business services and virtual office markets from a unique point of view. Rather than emphasizing large, expensive executive suites or impersonal virtual office solutions, Hemmeter determined to offer solutions with real value for the thousands of sole proprietors and small businesses throughout Colorado. The result is a growing number of business offices located throughout the Denver metro area and along the Colorado Front Range.

After refining the model in Colorado, Office Evolution plans on expanding to other cities and regions around the United States. Office Evolution has one of the best Web sites I’ve seen in the serviced office industry. It clearly spells out the unique value proposition of executive office suites and virtual offices. The entire industry should thank Office Evolution for communicating the benefits with such clarity.

What a great find. This serviced office provider does seem very smart in many ways. The web site really does nail the unique value proposition of the executive office suite industry, while also spelling out the company’s own advantages. What a way to make a good first impression.

Looks like Office Evolution is taking over Colorado before it plans to take over the United States with its serviced offices. I agree with what’s been said so far, the website really is a standout. Office Evolution is also communicating value for small businesses, which is an important message in a down economy. Offering small businesses affordable office space in Downtown Denver is a move that should pay off for this company.

I thought it was interesting that Office Evolution specifically pointed out that larger companies are leveraging the benefits of serviced offices. I am sure it’s true, but it’s also clearly an attempt to plant the seed that there is cheaper office space available through the executive office suite model.

Office Evolution is smart. The company got a client to talk for them. That offers this executive office space provider a lot more credibility than the ones that just toot their own horn. From a marketing perspective, this serviced office company is doing plenty right.

I like the fact that this serviced office provider took the time to remodel. Many companies wouldn’t invest in a remodel and expansion project in a down economy. That speaks to Office Evolution’s spirit of excellence. I’d love to see some video of these executive office suites.

Office Evolution is no newcomer to the serviced office space. That’s almost refreshing to see with so many executive office companies coming online. They are doing something right, too, to have so many locations in such a short period of time. Nice find!
