Office Edge Sunrise Makes Management Moves

Remember Office Edge Sunrise? I reported on the serviced office competitor’s departure from Intelligent Offices last month. With the new brand in place, the company is now moving to get its management ducks in a row.

Office Edge Sunrise has hired a new manager, Alex Sabbagh. Sabbagh has a background in client service, sales, and management. Office Edge waited several weeks after hiring Sabbagh to make the official announcement.

“I’m delighted to have Alex managing Sunrise,” co-owner of Office Edge Sunrise, a serviced office facility in Sunrise, Fla. “His resume and biography impressed us initially and his first few weeks on the job have sealed the deal. He has extended and endeared himself to our clients and shown great initiative and dedication in every respect.”

A Virtual Office Space Push
Although Office Edge offers serviced office space, the rebranded company seems to be making a major push on the virtual office front. When the company describes itself in press materials, it says, “Office Edge Sunrise offers virtual office services and conference rooms, professional receptionist services, and professional executive suites for local, regional and international businesses.”

And in his first official statement as manager of Office Edge Sunrise, Sabbagh turned his attention to the growing demand for virtual office space in South Florida.

“Many small business owners don’t use a conference room or an office every day, but most of them need a professional receptionist to remain productive,” Sabbagh says. “Here at Office Edge Sunrise, small and medium-sized business owners and freelancers can access our support and amenities whenever they need them, at a fraction of the cost of paying for a full-time office facility and staff.”

Competitive Prices?
Office Edge Sunrise, the sister locations to Office Edge Boca Raton, Office Edge Coral Gables and Office Edge Miami, don’t offer virtual office pricing online. That always bothers me a bit. I can understand a little better when executive office space providers don’t list their going rates because they may want to negotiate if vacancy is high. Listing the rates can turn customers away before they see your facility. But virtual office space pricing is virtual office space pricing. It should remain consistent. I’d like to see the pricing before I call in and get the pitch on why I should rent virtual office space from this company.

Office Edge Sunrise wants you to visit the office and take a tour. Sabbagh would probably be the one to give you the tour, explain all the features and answer any questions you have. The company promises to let you meet the virtual assistants and office administrative staff who will be working with you and your clients. I think that’s a nice touch. In fact, it is a very nice touch. High class. But many people are far too busy to spend that much time with a virtual office provider—especially without knowing how much the monthly virtual office space rent is.

No doubt, Office Edge Sunrise is a quality operation. The company counts attorneys, online wholesalers and retailers, accountants, real estate and mortgage brokers, technology companies, recruiters, insurance and financial advisors, distributors, and others among their clients. They web site offers strong photography and plenty of explanations as to what to expect. I’d still like to see more transparent pricing.

I agree with you, Jennifer. I always like to see what something costs, at least some kind of a ball park range, before I take the time to go in and have a tour. Even car dealers give you the sticker price. You know it’s going to cost you more if you add stuff and you know you might be able to negotiate less depending on your trade in. I like transparency in pricing, even for virtual office space.

Office Edge has several locations in South Florida. So they must be doing something right. It’s not at all unusual for companies in this industry to list their prices. But Davinci Virtual, which is the leading virtual office provider, does list theirs. So it might be a good practice to do so. I agree with you on the serviced office space front. It’s less common to offer office space rental prices than virtual office prices.
