Hera Hub: Female-Only Coworking Office Space in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – Coworking office space comes in all shape and sizes, including an all-girls concept that’s gaining traction in San Diego. Hera Hub bills itself as “workspace for women.” The target: female entrepreneurs.

“As a female entrepreneur, you may not have it easy, but you do have a powerful tool: other women in business,” the website reads. “If you are looking for a San Diego coworking space designed specifically for your needs and/or an opportunity to network with and learn from other female entrepreneurs, you’ve found the right place: Hera Hub.”

How is Hera Hub specifically for women? First off, the mission is to provide entrepreneurial women with a productive, professional work and meeting space, where they can connect with a like-minded community to collaborate and flourish.

So far, Hera Hub has attracted more than 200 female entrepreneurs who support one another through collaboration, resources, referrals, feedback and mentoring. Women in industries from tech to finance and from marketing to legal and beyond are part of the community. The coworking brand just opened its third location.

“We had significant demand for a North County location, with over 170 people on the interest list,” Felena Hanson, Hera Hub founder, told the San Diego Business Journal. “Memberships will go fast, as we’ll cap at 120. Five days after our July 15th soft launch, we’re already one-third full.”

Hera Hub’s coworking office space is designed to appeal to the five senses with beautiful art, live plants, calming colors, friendly faces; aromatic candles that relax and invigorate; soft spa-like music and tranquil running water; a variety of comfortable seating arrangements, including standing work stations; and fresh brewed coffee, tea, spa water and snacks.

“Fantastic space to create, network, and clean out the inbox,” says coworking office space tenant Linnea Zeiner. “Away from pesky neighbors, laundry distractions, and your own procrastinations found lurking around your abode, Hera Hub offers a peaceful and professional escape from the crowded and clamoring Starbucks down the street and gives you the opportunity to not only get your work done and meet clients, but be inspired by other women entrepreneurs. Bravo!”

Hera Hub’s leadership insists membership doesn’t just mean having access to a collaborative, serene and productive workspace; you also become part of a community of like-minded ambitious women who are moving their dreams forward. The coworking space also offers member-only events, extra exposure and unique networking opportunities. Plans run from $129 to $369 a month.

“Amazing! I can’t imagine a better place to work when you have a lot to do, but need occasional breaks and interaction with other entrepreneurs,” says Hera Hub tenant Vicky Eydelberg. “The space has a very calming, professional atmosphere that makes it easy to get through your to-do list while feeling like you’re part of a community. I would highly recommend it to anyone who works from home.”
