Empire Offices Offers Free Month of Manhattan Office Space

Empire Offices is on a mission to create a leading network of high-quality, low cost serviced office space in New York City.

Founded in 1999 by the region’s leading New York office space firms, the network offers space in central business districts. The differentiating factor? Expertise in design, technology and services at all-inclusive prices.

“Our market research on NY office space has shown that our competitor’s rates are not in sync with current economic conditions and simply overpriced. Most of these companies charge separately for basic business services and these costs can add significantly to the total cost of running a business,” Empire Offices says on its Web site.

Empire Offices pricing includes rent, digital telephones, NY area code telephone numbers, and voice mail with remote access, broadband internet connections, unlimited local calls and complimentary access to Empire Meeting Rooms, Empire Break Rooms and Empire Community Workstations.

“Empire Offices Manhattan office space locations offer an alternative to the high rates offered by many traditional executive office centers and national brands,” the group says. “Above all, our spaces set a new standard in the New York office space market by offering up-scale work environments – without the high costs typically associated with executive office suites.”

What’s the message you keep hearing? Low cost and upscale. I haven’t visited these spaces personally, but they list three on their Web site. Empire Galleria, Empire Grand central and Empire Work Lofts. These are all three very strategic locations for office space in New York City – and they all come with one month of free rent, including services.

Let’s hear from a customer. Jon Randel, president of Mandrill Staffing & Placement, has this to say about Empire Offices:

“After renting from one of their competitors for much longer than we should have, Mandrill Staffing began leasing from Empire Offices last year. The difference was like night and day. From the first, we were treated with friendliness, courtesy, and respect — like valued clients rather than cash cows. We love the location; the facilities are attractive, clean, and well-equipped; and the staff is always responsive. In our 11th year in business, Mandrill finally has the ideal office situation.”

I really like this “everything included” approach. It takes the surprises out of everything at the end of the month. I wonder why more serviced office companies don’t offer this type of pricing. I’m sure there’s pros and cons to the ala carte pricing for executive suite add-ons. Empire Offices is definitely bucking the norm.

Low cost and upscale is a great combination in the Manhattan office scene. I think Empire Offices is definitely filling a gaping hole in the serviced office space in New York City. Of course, I don’t know what their executive suites are going for. It’s got to be more expensive to buy all the services in one instead of ala carte.

I looked on the web site of Empire Offices because I was curious. But they don’t offer their prices so it’s hard to judge whether you are getting a better deal on an office suite with all services included or if you would be better using a serviced office company with ala cart pricing on the administrative stuff.

Yeah, I don’t like it when they don’t offer the information on the prices. Pet peeve of mine. They say it’s low-cost serviced office space in Manhattan, but then they don’t tell you how much it costs. I understand why. They want you to call so they can do the sales pitch. But still…
