Danbury Serviced Office Reports 20 Percent Growth
Published July 17th, 2009 by Jennifer LeClaire
Danbury, Connecticut brings us another success story in the executive office suites world. Plaza Executive Suites is posting gains despite the recession. The serviced office center reports 20 percent growth in the past 12 months.
“We’re very respectful of people’s budgets, especially in this day and age,” Plaza Executive Suites General Manager Patricia Longueuil told The Connecticut Post. “We accommodate all types of business — startups and long-standing companies. This type of business solution allows establishing a business with minor expenses and little risk.”
Plaza Executive Suites offers private individual offices in an office complex on the west side of Danbury, Connecticut , just off I-84. The company takes up about 23,000 square feet of Class A office space on the prestigious west side of Danbury. This is a strong location near hotels and just one hour from New York airports, Westchester Airport and Bradley International Airport in Hartford.
Executive office suite clients get a professionally furnished office with high speed Internet access. Eighty spaces are available, and the Plaza hosts 60 clients who use one or more spaces. Plaza also offers virtual offices. Between 30 and 40 clients use the virtual office option at any given time. Clients get personalized telephone answering for multiple lines, out-dial call transfer capability, and computerized messaging.
Serviced and virtual office clients, as well as the general public, can use the conference rooms, video and teleconferencing, reception and hospitality areas as well as available administrative services. Plaza recently completed a renovation with facility upgrades, including technology and boardrooms.
What made the difference for Plaza Executive Services? For starters, they have a great location, quality services and a needed product. But Plaza Executive Suites didn’t depend on word of mouth. The company launched an aggressive campaign, which included TV commercials to the local market. This is a one-location executive office suites company that understands its target audience and how to reach them.

I think executive office suites companies that are seeing this sort of growth should reach out to their local paper. I am betting stories like this lead to more growth. Advertising is essential, but stories in the newspaper are read with less skepticism because it’s unbiased. The industry’s message to the world should be: lots of folks are choosing our model and you should too.

This is the beauty of the serviced office industry. There are so many one offs that have been around for a long time — and they get it. They typically have great customer service because the owners are very close the operation. I’m glad to see that it’s not just the Reguses of the serviced office industry that are growing.

I saw the commercial on their Web site. It wasn’t very sophisticated, but it got the serviced office benefits across nicely. And that’s the point – in a market where you are one of the only serviced office providers, you still need to get the word out. Even if you don’t have a big budget for TV commercials, you still have to let people know you are an option in the local office market. Plaza Executive Suites has done that and you can see the results.

Plaza Executive Suites seems to be the only serviced office provider in its city. Not sure if that’s really true, but it’s the only one that’s well-known. I looked at some pictures. These executive office suites are in a very nice building, probably one of the choicest locations in the city. Location really is a big deal, especially if they are trying to get some day office traction from folks flying in from Manhattan and New England.

What in the world is in Danbury? I guess if you can make it there as a serviced office provider, you can make it anywhere. I don’t think that’s a major business hub. But it just goes to show you that cities large and small need serviced office space. Glad to see another winner in the executive office suites industry.
