CO+HOOTS Launches Co-Working Office Space in Phoenix

Do you like to get in cahoots with other creative professionals, but you are isolated in your home office space? CO+HOOTS , a creative coworking facility in Phoenix, aims to solve that problem for you for a few dollars a month.

Located at 825 N. 7th Street, CO+HOOTS hopes to become a creative hub in Downtown Phoenix. There seems to be a built-in potential customer base. The area is home to independent artists, photographers, designers, writers and other creative types who might benefit from the coworking office space.

“In my own process of looking for space to house eeko studio, I found it expensive and a huge risk to go at it alone. To lower this risk, I decided teaming up with other creatives at one central location is a sound business solution,” says Jenny Poon, eeko studio creator and CO+HOOTS operations manager.

“Each small business/individual’s risk is low, your monthly fees are less than that of renting on your own and you still get the creative input from creatives who love Phoenix. The collaboration of a close-knit, open, highly inspirational creative group is what makes the CO+HOOTS model succeed.”

You can choose from three levels of membership. A day pass will cost you $10. You get a Wi-Fi connection, open desk, access to the lounge, parking downtown, educational events, utilities, use of printer/ copier, and access to meeting rooms with teleconferencing equipment when it is not in use by others.

Kicking it up a notch, you can opt for the Lite package, which gives you all that, plus a key for 24/7 access, unlimited drop ins, access to the intern program, event space use at a discounted rate, a mailbox when you sign a one-year contract, and signage at the entry. That will cost you $350 a month. Finally, for $650 a month you can get the Full package, which includes all that, plus first dibs on interns, and three free uses of event space.

CO+HOOTS will hold its grand opening on July 2. But the company is already getting plenty of ink in local papers. With its inexpensive model and its modernistic feel, I imagine CO+HOOTS  won’t have any trouble filling up its coworking office space. It’s good to see the coworking movement alive and well in the Southwest. CO+HOOTS isn’t the first coworking space in Phoenix. There are several competitors. But it appears that there’s room for them all and then some as the movement takes hold there.

Very cool! You scooped this one before it even opened. Are you in cahoots with CO+HOOTS? This looks like a great addition to the Phoenix co-working office space scene. The prices are reasonable, especially for folks who just need the day passes. You could office there three days a week when you needed some inspiration and companionship and work from your home office the rest of the week. This is a very cost-effective way to make new connections!

CO+HOOTS. If the people who work in this co-working facility are as creative as the people who named it, it should make for an interesting atmosphere. That’s really cute. I guess they decided there was room enough for one more co-working space in Phoenix. I’m not too sure how this one is much different from the others as I’m not familiar with the market. But it looks like they are off to a great launch.
