WASHINGTON, D.C. – Carr Workplaces is making alternative office space inroads in the City that Never Sleeps. Carr just opened the doors to executive office suites in Midtown Manhattan. This mark’s Carr’s second serviced office space in New York City this year.
Located in the Plaza District at 745 Fifth Avenue, Carr certainly chose a prestigious address for its latest serviced office space. 745 Fifth Ave. is a landmark building that’s suitable for professionals with high-end clients – yet the cost of renting office space there is still 30 percent less than conventional real estate. That’s because executive office suites providers like Carr slash start-up and infrastructure costs.
“I fell in love with this business center,” says Kimberly V. Strauss, philanthropist and private capitalist. “The timeless elegance of the Deco facade, its superb location with such deeply inspiring views, and Carr Workplace’s gracious, polished and highly supportive staff made my decision and the leasing process effortless.”
Carr officially opened its doors on Monday on the fifth floor of the building and is already seeing a demand with its alternative workspace model. The company cites prospective and signed clients in the legal and financial sectors, international businesses, fashion and other creative industries. The 27,000 square feet of office space includes 68 individual offices, two conference rooms and one training room.
“Interest in the new executive offices center has already exceeded our expectations,” says Sally Mohr, general manager for the 745 Fifth Ave. business center. “The dynamic location and Carr Workplaces’ well-regarded professionalism are appealing to a range of businesses and professionals.”
These Midtown Manhattan executive office suites are located in an historic building designed by Buchman & Kahn, architects of some of the city’s most important Art Deco buildings. On the southeast corner of Central Park, at East 58th St., it features panoramic park views. Located along Fifth Ave., just south of the Upper East Side residential district, the flexible offices are within walking distance to the Museum Mile, Central Park Zoo, and many specialty shops, restaurants and hotels.
“I look forward to Carr Workplaces’ plans for a bright, contemporary design, and their vision for a caring and social culture,” says Strauss, who has signed a multi-year lease at 745 Fifth Ave., from where she plans to launch her private fashion label. “I am thrilled.”
Carr Workplaces offers fully-equipped meeting rooms, training rooms, and conference rooms, as well as flexible terms for co-working space, virtual offices, touchdown stations and part-time solutions available by the hour, week, month or year, in sizes ranging from individual offices to 100 person workgroups. In all, Carr operates premier properties in key business markets across the U.S., including Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County and San Francisco.
