Regus Adds ‘Clear’ Value with Strategic Alliance

Regus Group is looking to provide ever-increasing value to its serviced office customers, a smart move in a value-driven economy where companies are looking to stretch every dollar.

Last month, the serviced office giant launched businessworld membership plans that target mobile professionals with flat-fee pricing for access to its locations across the globe. Now, Regus is offering more program perks through a strategic alliance with Clear. Operated by Verified Identity Pass, more than 250,000 travelers are using clear to streamline their travel.
“Regus and Clear are aligning to provide today’s road warriors with unparalleled services to maximize their productivity while on the road,” says Guillermo Rotman, CEO of Regus Group Americas. “Now when a Regus client travels to the airport they simply show their Clear card to quickly get through airport security and Clear members can show their businessworld Gold card at any of our global locations to help them remain productive while on the road, regardless of where their business travels take them.”
Cutting Down Travel Time
Here’s more details on how this works: At 20 airports across the U.S., Clear members present their cards and boarding passes to a Clear attendant. After inserting their cards into the Clear kiosk and verifying their biometric information, members are escorted to the front of the designated Clear lane. Although Clear members still have to pass through a metal detector and X-ray machine, they largely avoid the long lines typically found in airports today.
To make the traveler’s check-in process even faster, Clear attendants help members place personal items in the bins and help them gather their belongings after going through the security checkpoint. The company estimates its service shaves as much as 30 percent off the time it takes to pass through airport security. That can mean the difference between making and missing a plane in some cases, or of having time for a cup of Starbucks coffee before you board. The service comes with a price tag of $199 a year, quite the bargain for the frequent traveler who’s tired of the hassle.
Creative Marketing 101
Thanks to a co-marketing arrangement, Clear members get a free Regus Gold businessworld membership. That gives them unlimited access to more than 1,000 Regus business lounges and exclusive offers on Regus virtual offices and fully-furnished offices. What’s more, Regus Gold, Platinum and Platinumplus businessworld card members will be awarded a three-month free trial Clear card.

Regus is in a strong position with the spread of locations and the marketing power to form these sorts of alliances. Doubtless, these types of perks will give the company an edge over smaller competitors in the war for corporate travelers.
Smaller companies can move more quickly, of course, and compete at a local level. But Regus is demonstrating why it’s among the leading brands in the serviced office industry with its forward-thinking site selection and its timely perks for loyal customers.
