Office Space Advice
FreedomVoice Seeks Small Business Gurus
Published September 17th, 2009 by Jennifer LeClaire
Are you a business guru in disguise? Always offering free advice to entrepreneurs? Have wisdom to share on succeeding in a down economy? Then you could win a new netbook computer for sharing a tip or two with FreedomVoice.
FreedomVoice, one of the top companies in the virtual office space, just launched a contest in search of the most valuable small business tip. Pretty clever in the times we work in today. What’s even cleverer is the means by which the 800 number service is driving the contest: social media. FreedomVoice is running the contest on its new blog.
“The new FreedomVoice Blog will be a vibrant area for company and industry news, discussion, and frequently asked questions,” says Eric Thomas, CEO of FreedomVoice. “But overall, the main purpose of the blog is to act as a resource for small businesses across the nation. We are holding this small business tip contest on the new FreedomVoice Blog to open up the floor for constructive dialogue.”
Ready to share your practical business wisdom with the masses? Here’s how the FreedomVoice Small Business Tip Contest works: Leave a comment with your small business tip on the contest section of the blog. Some parameters: Your tips have to be less than 200 words and should geared towards businesses with 50 employees or less.
What’s in it for you? The user who submits the top business tip will get an HP Mini 110-1012NR XP Edition 10.1″ widescreen netbook computer. You don’t have to wait long to find out if you won, either. FreedomVoice will announce the winner on its blog on October 20th.
This is smart business. FreedomVoice is going to raise awareness of its brand, drive traffic to its blog, and position itself as a go-to resource for small business owners looking for ways to do business smarter, faster and more effectively. For a few hundred bucks investment in a netbook – and some labor to read the entries – FreedomVoice is likely to generate tremendous traffic to its Web site and will probably get some new customers out of it. This is smart marketing.

I am heading over to FreedomVoice right now. As an entrepreneur, I have made plenty of mistakes. Probably enough to win the prize, LOL. Working in a virtual office, there’s plenty of mistakes you can make when you first get started. I would encourage all of your readers to take a shot at this contest. We need all the small business wisdom we can get!
Mike, maybe you should run a contest like this, hint, hint…

What a great idea. FreedomVoice takes the cake with this one. Whoever is in the marketing department there deserves a raise. I bet it will get them loves of virtual office customers. This is the kind of thing that drives awareness, participation and purchases. It’s a low-key marketing approach that gives the customer great value even if they don’t officially become customers.

I bet the winner will be someone who suggests getting an 800 number or a virtual office. Just kidding. I bet there will be a lot of practical advice for small business owners and others who use serviced offices and virtual offices. That seems to be the crowd that FreedomVoice attacts. What a great collaboration tool.

This is a great way to launch a blog and get traffic to it quickly. FreedomVoice is always offering tips for this and tips for that. Now they are letting a world of Internet users offer tips on for running a small business more effectively. Virtual offices and 800 number services are certainly a part of that. I’ll be interested to see who wins and what the reasoning is behind selecting a winner.
