What I think is also helping this trend take off: virtual technologies. Phone systems such as Gotvmail can tie workers from all over into a single point of contact. Virtual technologies have been around for some time, they're now more ubiquitous and affordable. I had never heard of coworking before now. What a novel concept. It figures it would be in New York City. I wonder if there are coworking groups in other major cities. In a way, this is sort of a spin on serviced offices in that it's a community of workers that come together under one roof.
