Servcorp Opens Office Space in Atlanta

An ultra competitive serviced office scene in Atlanta just got a new competitor—Servcorp. After opening two executive suites facilities in Chicago earlier this year, the Regus rival is launching into Buckhead. Servcorp’s Atlanta office space officially opened its doors on July 6.

“Servcorp provides a level of service and facilities previously unseen in the U.S. Our premium locations, our internationally trained management and team members and our IT solutions give our over 28,000 clients worldwide a real competitive advantage in the market they’re operating in,” says Servcorp CEO Alf Moufarrige. “We think the U.S market is looking for service and facilities that allows them to just focus on making their business successful, and that’s what Servcorp does.”

The Terminus Building
Servcorp’s Atlanta offices are on the 20th floor of the Class-A Terminus building in Buckhead, one of Atlanta’s most prominent business addresses. In case you aren’t familiar with the Atlanta office space scene, the Terminus building lies in the heart of Buckhead. That puts Servcorp smack dab in the middle of  affluent businesses, dining, entertainment and shopping districts.

The Terminus 200 is located at the intersection of Piedmont and Peachtree. The building sets the stage for quicker absorption because of its mixed use, which potentially exposes the project to more types of foot traffic. The Terminus 200 offers condos, office space and retail. There’s underground parking, a fitness center, and luxury boutique stores. The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is 30 minutes away, and the MARTA is a five-minute walk from The Terminus.

Servcorp’s Expansion Strategy
Selecting a site in Atlanta—and specifically in the Terminus building—proves that Servcorp is sticking by its promise to select only the best office space in major cities around the world. Servcorp will open several additional serviced office facilities in the U.S. this year. Here is the schedule:

  • Tysons, VA – Tysons (August)
  • Washington, DC – Pennsylvania Ave & F Street (August)
  • Atlanta, GA – Midtown (August)
  • New York City, NY – Avenue of the Americas (September)
  • Philadelphia, PA – Downtown (October)
  • New York City, NY – Park Ave (October)
  • Dallas, TX – Galleria & Highland Park (October)
  • Houston, TX – Galleria & Downtown (October)
  • Boston, MA – Downtown (October)

In all, Servcorp will open 30 new locations over the next six months, not only in the United States but also in London, Melbourne, Manila, and Yokohama. This is what they would call in basketball a full court press against Regus and other competitors on the serviced office scene. It will be interesting to see how the market responds to Servcorp, if it’s able to grab market share away from the competition or if there’s more than enough room for everybody.

Well, they said they’d open an office space in Atlanta in July and I see they did. Looks like Servcorp is on the fast track to growth not only in the U.S. but around the world. I do think they have an advantage by selecting very high profile buildings to locate in. Of course, Servcorp isn’t the only executive office suites company to do that. But it doesn’t hurt to offer Class-A office space in Buckhead. Nice location!

That is a nice building. Now all they have to do is fill it. I think Atlanta has the danger of getting oversaturated. I don’t think their office space market is performing strikingly better than other major metros. The advantage of serviced offices is the short-term leases. Maybe that makes all the difference. I’d love to see some of these executive suites providers offer numbers on occupancy. I know Regus does from time to time.
