Differentiation and the Executive Suite

All serviced offices offer the same benefits to their clients – among them are image, flexibility, value and location. The problem is that most of them only differentiate themselves by location. They all provide a similar image, are very flexible with terms and options, and provide a number of services for a good price. The reason one is picked over another in the end is often location. This is fine, for now.

However, operating a little differently – doing something that stands out from the crowd – can deliver significant business results in both the long and short term. Much of this website will be devoted to discussing companies that are striving to differentiate themselves – to prove themselves to be “a better office”.

This differentiation is can be in the services offered, the architecture, decor, custom build outs, office culture, business vertical focus and much more. The “Featured Office Space” section will cover companies that differentiate themselves and, where possible, we will analyze the effect on their business.

I agree with you, Mike. There’s not much differentiation among serviced offices. It’s basically the same suite of services in a different location. We are beginning to see some points of differentiation in terms of luxury or more robust technology. I think those are the players that will demand attention in the next growth phase, forcing the old players in the office rental space to kick it up a notch. I think the Featured Office section is a great way to recognize the innovators in the industry and show folks what’s out there.
